Non-verbal communications are just that, conveying a message without typing or talking. By reading a persons movements and body language, you can learn to see what they are saying.

This comes in part from a history of playing with someone, but can also be done with new players. Shooting a few rounds over someone's head is a quick way to get their attention.

If the point man gets to a corner, and stops, jumps or backs up, there is something bad around the corner. If he falls over shot, then there is something very very bad around the corner. You now know that when you approach the corner, you need to be prepared, or you know to take an alternate route and avoid the corner.

Lobbing grenades is a very good way of showing that someone is ina general area, same with shooting, you don't always have to see your opponent to shoot at him. Firing a burst lets others know where someone is or might be.
